One year

Tonight I kissed her for the last time ever -a year ago. I count not from the calendar day (11/17) but from the actual Thursday, after Camp Kulaqua and before Thanksgiving. Tomorrow is when I found out; that fateful phone call I will never forget; that weird windy day, with an ambualnce out front that left shortly after I got there. The phone call to Pia, telling her I would not make it to Bunco. She called the pastor who visited.
Ellen came down right away too.

This year went by so fast. A new territory.
I often think if she came back she would not recognize Keith -he lost almost 100 lbs; and the kids have grown so much. Sam talks to much; Asher acts all grown up and 'school' like.

I want to do a memory a day, but I don't know if I'll have that drive; time is short these days.

Let's start with one... One came to mind today and it was of her laughing at the movie Airplane; I was too young to watch/stay up late, so I was in bed but I must have gotten up. I remember her snorting laughter. She was watching with at least one sister (Isabelle; I remember it was at her place in Paris), maybe 2 (Sylvvie, if she was there too). They were laughing to hard... Her laughter was definitely her trademark.
