Memories 49 and 50

Once she ate an earthworm. I wasn't there, but she recounted the story, and I absolutely believed her because it's something she would definitely do.
It was in Colorado, around 2004. She was nannying these two brats (about 8 and 10, boy and girl), and somehow they ended up digging up a worm and the kids were probably being grossed out. I don't think they dared her to eat it (probably didn't even think of it), she most likely offered and then just did it. She definitely had a crazy side. She was proud of herself too. I know she did it to shock them, she liked shocking people -in a not-too-traumatazing kind of way.

Speaking of eating... she liked 'normal' things too. She loved chocolate but not American chocolate, except the chocolate chips for baking. It was the closest (and cheapest) she could get to the dark chocolate she liked. In France, she liked "Cote d'Or -Dark with hazelnuts" and dark Chocolat Poulain (a French brand). She had gotten to like Nutella in the US also (never really enjoyed it in France) because she had 'lowered her standards' :-)

Un jour, elle avait mange un ver de terre. Je n'etais pas la quand ca c'est passe, mais elle nous l'avait raconte, et je n'en ai jamais doute car c'est quelque chose que je la vois tres bien faire.
C'etait dans le Colorado, vers 2004. Elle gardait deux gamins, de 8 et 10 ans, un garcon et une fille et apparement ils avaient du trouver un ver de terre et etaient sans doute degoutes a sa vue. Elle avait du vouloir leur apprendre une lecon, que c'est pas degoutant les vers, et l'avait avale tout rond. Elle etait fiere d'elle et je sais qu'elle avait voulu les choquer; c'etait reussi!

A propos de manger... elle aimait aussi les choses plus 'normales' comme le chocolat. Son prefere c'etait le chocolat Cote d'Or noir/noisettes, ou le chocolat poulain, noir. Elle avait appris a aime le Nutella seulement aux Etats-Unis parce que le chocolat n'est pas bon du tout ici. Elle s'achetait aussi parfois des pepites de chocolat, car c'etait le seul chocolat qui se rapproche un peu du chocolat noir qu'elle aimait tant!
